Well it’s Tuesday again and currently the Apple store is down again.  Correction. It is now back online.  The iPod shuffle has dropped from $79 to $49.  Wow.  Big drop.  

It is well deserved as the iPod shuffle was a bit overpriced to begin with.  Especially with the price drops of different devices similar in nature.

 Sorry folks, if you are in Japan, the price still remains 9,800yen.No break for us over here as of yet. (Update Below)  Pft, no iPhone yet either.

Thanks to the good folks over at Engadget for pointing me in the direction of Apple’s new PR. It states that a 2gig iPod shuffle will be coming  later this month for just $69 dollars.

Japan store update. Now offering the 1GB iPod shuffle for 5,800yen and the soon to come 2GB model for 7,800yen
